Last October, two brothers launched an organic heirloom produce business and this year they have their eyes set on some bigger goals. Not only will they supply produce to local restaurants through bicycle delivery but they want to provide jobs to individuals with learning disabilities.
“In February, the garden relocated from their small downtown space beneath the Interstate 1-10 overpass to a larger space on Barrancas Avenue, and began a Spring internship partnership with Arc Gateway’s PALS Program that allowed interns to come to the garden three times a week, for about an hour and a half each day.”
